UCA began with just one student registering for Computer and English studies. By year-end, enrollment rose to six students. Mohamed Ruzegeya (M) joined on 27th October 2010, followed by Mikui Ramadhani (F).
Starting in 2011, UCA grew significantly, reaching 110 students. In 2018, management opened the Mbezi Beach campus to accommodate the growing demand.
The founder secured a lease at the former NHC HQ in Temeke. UCA now operates two campuses and enrolled 800 students in 2023, targeting 1,500 for 2024.
In 2016, UCA was registered with VETA (REG.CU157) to offer ICT, BOA, Secretarial, Housekeeping, Front Office, Tour Guiding, and short courses.
In 2017, UCA was licensed by PSPTB (T-100-00018) to offer Certificate & Diploma in Procurement and Supply.
By mid-2022, the Temeke campus was registered under NACTVET (REG/SAT/062) to offer ICT levels 4, 5, and 6. Programs in Tourism and Accountancy are underway.
